Elder Spackman, almost

Tyson is ready for the interview portion of his mission call. This is the photo that the Quorum of the 12 will view when he gets to the absolute, for sure, final part of his submission process. Can you tell he is pretty excited? He dreams of going to Germany, or some European place, so I told him it would be Denver, Spokane, Phoenix or Boise North. Everybody likes to speculate!

Grandpa's Tractors

Great paint job on this one. Bob can make these tractors look just like brand new. Pretty fussy. He really loves getting the final effect and taking a ride around the block! Isn't this a great autumn picture?

Another great autumn photo. Our favorite time of year!

What Grandpa Does

Can you tell Bob is in his element? He has completely restored 3 tractors now, this one is Jordan's favorite. (They both seem to be drawn to the John Deere green, but we won't tell anyone he works for Massey Ferguson/AgCo....) The photo was taken Oct 2007, on one of his rides around the yard to hear the grand old "putt-putt" of that engine. Big boys and their toys!

Cousins Christmas

Annual Christmas Party with the Priestley family. These are all 3rd cousins, the 5th generation of Heber and Ida Priestley's lines. This has been a tradition since about 1965, always held the Saturday before Christmas. They hold a special message for our Soldier Adam who is serving in Kuwait. Look closely at the cards!

Natalie and Her Uncles

We had a great visit in September of this year. There is so much to see in this area. We had a good day down by the river, and it is always fun to get some good photos. Can you tell this little girl has her uncles right around her little finger? All she has to do is grin at them and she melts their hearts. This is a favorite shot!

Grandpa's Hands

This is our beautiful new grandson Grant Jordan Spackman, born 1 Aug 2008. He is so precious and long awaited. He joins big sister Natalie in the family. You can see the similarity in these hands and fingers. Jordan's should be in there, too. Genetics are hard to miss on this one.

Eagle Scouts Four!!

So proud of our four Eagle Scout Sons! Tyson finished up his project and was able to have his Court of Honor when Jordan and Dannielle were here for Christmas! What a treat for this Grandma! I love Scouting, I have served as a leader for almost 17 years in one capacity or more! This was a great day for all of us, all can sit in the Eagle's Nest together. This was a photo taken Dec 28 2007, a little archival history!

Hooah!!

We were so happy to have our soldier home for Thanksgiving this year! Adam is proudly serving our country in Kuwait as a mechanic and logistics manager for the Blackhawk helicopters. This photo was taken as his 211th Aviation Batallion headed out to Fort Sill on Feb 19. He spent almost 3 months in Oklahoma training, then went on to the Middle East. He was able to be home for about 3 weeks, headed back to finish up his tour on Dec 1. We expect him back on United States soil by about March 1. He enjoyed "real food" while he was home, he says "the Army can steam the flavor out of almost anything!"
